CLEVELAND -- Kelly Pavlik pitched a perfect game on Saturday night. The middleweight champion did not disappoint his 7,000-plus fans at the Chevrolet Centre as he made very few mistakes in taking apart Mexican challenger Marco Antonio Rubio.
Talk has already turned to Pavlik's next title defense, which Top Rank Inc. promoter Bob Arum said he wants to take place in Cleveland in late May or June. Arum said a determining factor would be the state of the Cavaliers in the NBA playoffs and the availability of Quicken Loans Arena.
