Major Record Companies and Apple Collaborate

The wait is over, the Air Jordan III (3) Retro in it’s OG colorway of White and True Blue have finally been retroed and will be available shortly at select Jordan Brand retailers. The rumor is that these will not be sold in the US and will be an International Release only, but we are waiting to confirm the rumor. This pair of Retro’s are almost identical to the pair that was originally released in 1988, but of course the difference like many of the Retro Jordan III’s and IV’s is that the “Nike Air” logo on the heel has been replaced with a Jumpman logo.Style: 136064-141

Ohio State and Terrelle Pryor named Big Ten preseason favorites
CHICAGO - At the Big Ten meetings, we've started the day with two awards for the Buckeyes already, one that's not much of a surprise and one that I think is a bit of one. Ohio State was picked by the media as the preseason favorite to win the Big Ten, getting the nod ahead of Penn State and Michigan State. Almost everyone sees the conference race coming down to the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions, though with their matchup in State College, I thought Penn State might be the more popular choice.
But it's the pick of Terrelle Pryor as the Big Ten preseason offensive player of the year that I found most surprising. Illinois receiver Arrelious Benn or Daryll Clark, the Penn State quarterback, were the two players I thought had a better shot than Pryor. Instead, the Big Ten Freshman of the Year is now expected to be the best offensive player in the conference. That won't be a shock if Pryor plays that well, I just didn't think everyone would assume it.

Nike Air Hoop Structure Triax Version
Back in June we got a preview of the upcoming hybrid release from Nike, pairing the brand’s classic Air Structure Triax runners with a basketball sneaker aesthetic. The kicks were featured in a nostalgic original colorway, used on the ‘91 edition of the aforementioned Air Structure Triax. They are now available through select Nike retailers, including Proper, a lot early than originally anticipated.

Operation Save Our Sierra began July 13 and involves local, state and federal agencies working together to remove marijuana growing operations, investigate and arrest drug traffickers, and remove infrastructure on public lands in Fresno County, a news release said.

CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga County's three commissioners voted unanimously this morning to place on the November ballot a government reform measure that, if approved, would eliminate their jobs.
Commissioners Tim Hagan and Peter Lawson Jones, who oppose the reform plan, also stated that they will not be seeking re-election in three years.
Jones said he voted to put the reform initiative on the ballot only to fulfill his legal duty.
"We feel the voters are entitled to a choice," he said.
Advocates for government reform, including county Prosecutor Bill Mason, collected more than 80,000 signatures to force their reform measure onto the ballot.
If approved, the measure would replace the three commissioners with an elected executive and 11-member county council.

**I remember Chip had some Mids in a similar color combo... Not the same tho.**Nike SB’s fall lineup is looking quite sharp. Be that as it may, there’s about a 100% chance that someone will say these are no good, which is roughly the same chance that someone will bemoan the lack of a puffy tongue on this latest release. The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro pictured above is clearly in its sample form (sans puffy tongue), but the colour scheme is still dope. These have a burgendy suede upper with a white leather toe and metallic gold leather Swoosh. The highlight here, of course, is the multicoloured pattern on the ankle collar and tongue that slightly resembles a pre-Coogi Bill Cosby sweater. These should drop soon stateside, but you can grab them today from EST Premium.

Senate narrowly rejects law on carrying concealed weapons
**What do you guys/girls think? Is this crazy to let people do this? Are you happy it was rejected? What benefit can come from this?**The Senate narrowly rejected a measure to allow people to carry concealed weapons from state to state Wednesday.
The vote was 58 to 39. The amendment needed 60 votes to pass.
The measure would have required each of the 48 states that allow concealed firearms to honor permits issued in other states.
It was the first significant defeat this year for the gun lobby.
The concealed weapons proposal was an amendment to a larger defense appropriations bill, introduced by Sen. John Thune, a South Dakota Republican.

Yesterday, we gave you a preview of the Air Jordan Holiday ‘09 Boys releases, but as we all know, Jordans aren’t just for the boys. Jordan Brand is going all out to make sure that the girls have their very own fresh kicks to rock this winter with eight different sneakers in the Holiday collection for the little ladies. At first glance, it appears that the month of October will definitely have a colored theme, with the Air Jordan 1 Phat, Jordan 1 Flight and Flight 45 all adopting a Black/China Rose color scheme and the Sixty Plus sporting a similar White/China Rose/Black palette. This shoe was a part of our Holiday ‘09 Air Jordan 1 preview and now we get a detailed look at the sneaker from various angles. As you can tell, this is the Atlanta Hawks installment of the 60+ series, paying tribute to Michael’s 61 point performance against Atlanta on April 16, 1987. The shoe sports a Black leather upper with splashes of Varsity Red on the tongue label, outsole and laces, as well as the carpet-like chenille Swoosh. Additional accents come by way of Varsity Maize contrast stitching on the upper and a Varsity Maize Jumpman logo on the tongue. These won’t be hitting stores until October, but you can check out some more pics after the jump in the meantime.

Gasoline-Huffing Man Bursts Into Flame After Being Tased
An Australian man burst into flames after a policeman hit him on the bridge of the nose with his Taser. Sound ridiculous? Not so much if you know the man was arrested on suspicion of huffing gasoline.The man pretty immediately went up in flames, and the officer, recognizing that a man becomes significantly less dangerous once he's on fire, went to the suspect's aid, patting him all over (and getting burned himself) to quell the flames. While the officer tried to help the flammable man, he was hit by rocks thrown by a young woman also on the scene, also presumably high or stupid or both. Both the man and woman, as well as two others, were charged with sniffing a prohibited substance, and the young woman was charged with throwing rocks at a policeman.

The only thing Im going to say about Cudi's set for "The Great Hangover Tour" is that his performance game is on 1 MILLION! Dude is TRULY an ENTERTAINER!
