Cash for Clunkers Ending

The $3 billion Cash for Clunkers program will shut down on Monday, the government said Thursday.

Dealers must submit any pending Clunker deals, including any necessary paperwork, by 8 p.m. ET Monday.

"It's been a thrill to be part of the best economic news story in America," said Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood. "Now we are working toward an orderly wind down of this very popular program."

Good…, as they say, all good things come to an end. Actually, this could be considered a BAD thing b/c it’s CRAZY, we are giving people money to live more vicariously and lavishly than before all this economical bust took place? What are we doing? Spoiling every single last American? Let’s learn to live in moderation, then we wouldn’t have so much debt…Well, the fish sticks from the head..so the head is the While House…right?

i agree... we have THEE highest default rate in the WORLD when it comes to mortgages, loans & ect.

alot of the ppl whom are doing this "cash for clunker" thing... are trading in cars they dont have payments or notes on... so now we are giving people care notes and payments when they didnt have it before... granted its nice to have some JUNK cars off the streets... BUT, in the long run for a country that has such a HIGH default rate... i dunno how smart this is either?
