What’s "The Deal?"

For 20 years, BET has been at the forefront of hip hop music and culture, breaking artists, setting trends and bringing the heat. Now BET is continuing that legacy with "The Deal," a new show featuring the hottest artists, videos and styles in hip hop. Focusing on the next generation of hip hop culture, "The Deal" will provide an exclusive look at the game-changers in music, get real about the issues affecting the hip hop community and spotlight what’s hot, right now.

Hosting "The Deal" is Jive Records A&R and Hitz Committee CEO Mickey "MeMpHitz" Wright, the force behind stars like T-Pain, J-Kwon and Huey. Philly’s own Diamond Kuts will hold down the wheels of steel as "The Deal’s" resident DJ. The biggest names in entertainment will stop by "The Deal" set, which is modeled after an NYC streetwear boutique.

"The Deal" will provide a first look at rising stars and feature artists dropping their sickest rhymes with segments like "Certified Fresh" and "Spit Ya Game." Legendary freestyles will continue to go down in "The Booth," which will have a new home on "The Deal." Other segments include "Line 4 Line," a forum where artists will converse about issues facing the hip hop nation, "The New Deal" which will look at the hottest lifestyle picks from gadgets to games and "The Look Of The Day" which will break down the latest fashion. "The Deal" will also switch up the latest videos with on-screen facts and produce original videos of artist freestyles.
