It’s a road post along the sneaker landscape that we can all look back on with great fondness. During the 1990-1991 NBA season, at the time of their release, Nike was pulling away from their competitors at a startling rate and so was Michael Jordan. These shoes were on his feet as he won his first NBA Championship and his second league MVP.
Was it the shoes? Only Mike and Spike know for sure, but for most of us, owning a pair of these kicks was as close as we were ever going to come. Whether you had them back then or were smart enough to pick up the Retro version that dropped in 2000, another chance is coming to get your hands on one of the centerpieces of the Air Jordan legacy. The original Black/Infrared Air Jordan VI will be hitting stores again in January of next year, so you’ll have to be patient, but we promise that they’ll be worth the wait. Whether Cudi wins or not, you won't find a more buzzed-about rookie in the music business. He recently scored a Top 5 hit with the single "Day 'n' Nite." He'll be on tour this summer, performing Friday, July 17, at Cleveland's House of Blues.
He's a budding actor, too, with a role in a new HBO comedy series, "How to Make It in America."

Last month, we showed you a preview of the Black/Charcoal/Red Air Jordan VII from the upcoming Bulls vs. Magic 60+ Pack, and after seeing the Bulls colorway, we know that you’ve been dying for a peek at the Magic edition. Like the Bulls vs. Celtics Air Jordan 1 60+ Pack, the Air Jordan VII editions will also pay tribute to one of Michael’s 60 point games, in this case, a 64 point performance against the Orlando Magic in January of 1993 to be exact. Both a Bulls and Magic version of the shoe will be packaged together in a box that resembles the Bull’s home floor. Now that we are finally able to give you a glimpse of the Magic colorway, you will see that the shoe uses a white leather upper with black and royal accents and a pinstriped tongue to match the Orlando uniform. The pack will not be hitting retailers until late August, but we will be sure to keep you posted on all the latest on this intriguing offering from Jordan Brand. Kix-Files pulls the covers off an impending colalboration Dunk High from Nike Sportswear. Featuring the work of a familiar entity in Alife Rivington Club, the Dunk features a black suede upper with a prominent Sticky Rubber 0.44 outsole. The shoe also features a Schoeller technical upper alongside Cordura and Dynafil TS 70. The Dynafil TS 70 features an “ultra-strong polyamide backing fabric and resistant to friction, water, dirt and oil repellent.” The heel also features an A.R.C. stamp. Available starting next month.

iSuppli's latest teardown has revealed that the BOM and manufacturing cost of the iPhone 3GS comes to $178.96. That's a little over $4 more than the previous iPhone at release last year and about $8 more than the Palm Pre.

As part of Nike’s “Regions” pack set to debut in the latter half of 2009, here’s a look into something UNDFTD’s Eddie Cruz and DJ Clark Kent cooked up representing the West side. Based on LA Dodgers colors, the upper also features a fishscale like texture. Available in December of 2009.
CLEVELAND — A judge set bond at $10 million for Jeremiah Jackson Wednesday morning in the shooting death of Tracy Pickryl during a robbery at the Laundromat where she worked. Jackson, 29, of Cleveland, did not enter a plea to charges of aggravated murder and felonious assault in Cleveland Municipal Court. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was jailed.
Cuyahoga County prosecutors will present his case to a grand jury for formal charges.
Jackson was arrested by Cleveland's SWAT unit about 11:10 p.m. Saturday at a house on Hillcrest Road in Cleveland Heights.

CLEVELAND -- Unemployment rates in Northeast Ohio for the most part followed the statewide trend of increasing between April and May, according to figures released Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. The only exceptions were Portage County, where the rate barely moved, by inching down by .2 percent and Summit County, where the jobless rate stood still.
As has been the trend this year, all rates are up dramatically from 2008. Northeast Ohio still tends to have rates lower than the rest of Ohio.
Here are the local unemployment rates for May, which are not seasonally adjusted:
• Cuyahoga, 10.1 percent, up from 9.0 in April. In May 2008, the rate was 6.9 percent.
• Geauga, 8.0 percent, up from 7.3 in April. In May 2008, the rate was 5.1 percent.
• Lake, 9.5 percent, up from 8.5 in April. In May 2008, the rate was 5.7 percent.
• Lorain, 11.4 percent, up from 10.6 percent in April. In May 2008, the rate was 6.3 percent.
• Medina, 9.3 percent, up from 8.3 percent in April. In May 2008, the rate was 5.7 percent.
• Portage 10 percent, down from 10.2 in April. In May 2008, the rate was 5.5 percent.
• Summit, 9.7 percent, the same as in April. In May 2008, the rate was 5.7 percent.

Cleveland Clerk of Council Pat Britt, who is the party's vice chair, will take over. The unpaid position will not affect her job as clerk.
The local party, however, is not saying Dimora will stay away forever.
Executive Director Mary Devring said Dimora is not resigning. She said Dimora decided on his own to step aside during the busy election season. This year, 58 cities hold municipal races.
"It's busier than a presidential election year," Devring said. "Jimmy thought this would be in the best interest of the party during the muny races. Nobody persuaded him. He decided on his own. He needed to do what he needed to do."

**This is a SUPER FUCKED situation...**North Korea's hydrographic department e-mailed Japan's coast guard Monday, according to coast guard spokesman Shinya Suzuki. Japan monitors that part of the region's waters.
North Korea plans to hold military shooting practice in the waters northeast of Wonsan, on the country's eastern coast, from June 25 to July 10, according to the e-mail, Suzuki said.
The reclusive communist nation did not specify consequences of ships entering those waters during the drill, but the dates fall within the timeframe cited by Japanese media last week for a possible North Korea missile launch toward Hawaii.
